The World Butoku Sai held recently in Kyoto Japan was attended by over 800 participants. Seminars by Hanshi from all Budo Arts  and demonstrations were performed with award winning display of Myo Shin Ryu by Doherty & Bradley followed the following day with further awards to Rod Bradley and Hugh Doherty in Yawara Jujitsu, Tony Ball with Jujitsu awards and the Kokotyu ryu Bujutsu helping Australia winning 2nd place in the team demonstration.
AJKA were the only national body represented at this prestigious event. The national team should not be confused with the Idokan Club from Victoria.

CERTIFICATIONS
Hugh Doherty was certified Rokudan Jujitsu & Nidan Iaido, Rod Bradley certified Yondan jujitsu and John Rizzo certified Nidan Iaido.

APPOINTMENT
Hugh Doherty was appointed Australia’s officer for Dai Nippon Butoku Kai after acting as coordinator for the last 4 years.
